Sam Johnson,
MScOT Reg. (Ont.)

Samantha graduated from McMaster University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, after pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Ottawa.

Sam has always loved working with children. Before becoming an occupational therapist, she spent time coaching soccer, teaching dance, and working at summer camps, experiences which have helped to shape her playful and supportive approach to therapy. She has clinical experience in private pediatric settings, acute care and inpatient rehabilitation, and aims to create a space where children feel safe, understood, and excited to learn and grow.

Samantha has a particular interest in working on fine and gross motor skills, sensory regulation, and self-regulation, and she’s always looking for ways to make therapy meaningful and positive for both children and their families. She believes in working closely with parents and caregivers to support each child’s goals in a way that fits into everyday life.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find Sam reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, or planning her next travel adventure.
