MClSci, Speech-Language Pathologist
Abby holds a Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Western University, and she is delighted to be providing speech and language services at Expanding Horizons Therapy. She is passionate about supporting goals through a neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based, and compassionate approach. She strives to create an enriching and collaborative learning environment to help clients strengthen their communication skills and build confidence.
Abby is an advocate for supporting multilingual development in a collaborative way, prioritizing what meaningful communication looks like for each child. She also firmly believes that progress means expanding on an individuals unique passions and motivations, and she will gladly get excited about their favourite interests! She enjoys using areas such as nature and art to support clients in using communication to interact with the world around them.
Abby has experience working with clients in areas including developmental language, social communication, motor speech, articulation, augmentative and alternative communication, and literacy. In her spare time, you can find her relaxing in a hammock, making collage art, or engrossed in sudoku puzzles.
