Sydney is currently practicing as a registered occupational therapist in the Ottawa-Carleton and Leeds, Grenville & Lanark regions. She is licensed by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Sydney obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McGill University. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Health Studies at Queen’s University.
Sydney has experience working with infants, children, youth, and adults in hospital, clinical, community, and school-based settings. In particular, she has extensive experience working with children and youth with autism spectrum disorder, perinatal stroke/hemiparetic cerebral palsy, and developmental delay. Sydney is committed to providing family-centered care and implementing evidence-based practice into her treatment approaches. Her pediatric therapy interests include infant attachment and bonding, feeding/swallowing, self-regulation, sensory processing, and handwriting.
Outside of work, Sydney enjoys skiing, golfing, and spending time with her family. She is also dedicated to her volunteer work at CHEO and Camp Oochigeas.
