Social Worker

Patrick (Pat) is a registered clinical social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). He has completed a Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Ottawa and Western University, respectively. Pat has extensive experience working with at-risk children and youth, teens, and adults, as well as their immediate families and friends, in various settings and contexts, including adult crisis services, school board and community-based services. 

Pat takes great pride in fostering and maintaining an open, safe, and welcoming environment every session. He values the use of holistic wellness strategies and integrates mindfulness, meditation, thought-recognition and challenging, curiosity, and introspection throughout his services. Pat is highly motivated in supporting each person in their journey towards making positive strides and meaningful, lasting changes for themselves. 

Pat has a keen interest in collaboratively looking beneath the surface when exploring areas of personal challenge, and firmly believes in accompanying individuals as they take each step in their desired direction, in order to live meaningful and healthy lives. Recognizing that every person is unique and the therapeutic process is a very personal experience, Pat is highly flexible and adaptable towards each individual’s process and experience; your goals become his goals. 

Pat has training and practical experience in the following areas:

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Brief Intervention for School Clinicians (BRISC) 
  • Risk assessments (ASIST + AQPS)

In his spare time, Pat enjoys spending time with his family and friends, his dog June, golfing and exercising. He loves trying new things and is a very active “doer”. Pat’s appreciation of work-life balance and taking “control of the controllables” helps him navigate the mysterious experience of life. He also enjoys his downtime for rest and relaxation as much as his activities. Pat is naturally curious and enjoys discovering new ways to keep learning about and through life.
