Kate Cochrane, BSW, MSW, RSW

Social Worker

Kate (She/Her) is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Kate completed her BSW and MSW at Carleton University. She has experience in working with youth, young adults, and their families and strives to keep her services empowering with regard to their mental health.

Kate maintains an open, safe, and collaborative environment for youth and their families during sessions. She fosters youth independence and offers interventions to reduce mental health stigma and promote healthy coping strategies.  She has experience in working with “for youth-by-youth” mental health organizations which work with youth on building youth mental health awareness, allowing them to be involved in decisions surrounding their mental health journey. Kate is motivated to maintain this practice and work collaboratively with youth and their families to make impactful changes in individual’s lives.

On a personal level, Kate is a very social and outgoing individual. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and pets. She keeps an active and healthy, balanced lifestyle where she can enjoy her work and private life in harmony. Kate enjoys being outdoors and trying new things to challenge herself. She is a caring and empathic person who enjoys seeing individuals learning, growing, and being happy and healthy!
