Occupational Therapist
Jessica was raised in a small town in the south-east region of Ottawa. She obtained her Masters of Science degree in Occupational therapy at Queen’s University in Kingston. Prior to this, she completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Health at Brock University in St. Catharines. Jessica is licensed by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and has a membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Jessica is passionate and committed about working in pediatrics to help support children and their families. She is a strong advocate that all children are unique and have the strength and right to live their lives to the fullest. Jessica values learning and creativity, which contributes to her enjoyment of finding new and fun ways to support her clients in achieving their goals. She has many years of experience working with babies, children, and teens with a variety of abilities, within the settings of hospitals, schools, and clinics. She has worked individually and in a group setting with children with a variety of conditions, including ASD, ADHD, down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. She has a special interest in working in the areas of sensory processing, mindfulness, developmental milestones, learning disabilities and fine and gross motor.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends, engaging in mindfulness exercises, painting, and traveling. From a young age she has known she has wanted to work with children and OT perfectly matched her values around helping those participate in meaningful activities and enhance their quality of life.
Jessica has training and experience in various areas of pediatric occupational therapy, including:

- Mental Health First Aid
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
- Splinting workshop
