Occupational Therapist

The first years of life often sets the foundation for life long-health and wellbeing. Hatice is happy to collaborate with families during this important period of life to facilitate children and youth’s participation in meaningful activities and roles by providing them with the essential opportunities and supports.

Hatice completed her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Ottawa following a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science specialising in Kinetics and Clinical Exercise Physiology at Concordia University. Hatice is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario as well as the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. 

Hatice has experience in the assessment of fine and gross motor skills and visual-motor skills, as well as functional abilities to complete daily activities. She also has experience in paediatric mental health including self-regulation interventions and strategies. 

Having grown up in different cultures, Hatice is able to provide culturally competent care and services in three different languages: English, French and Turkish. Outside of work, Hatice enjoys making time for self-care, spending time with her family, engaging in Pilates or resistance training, and listening to personal development podcasts.
