Occupational Therapist
Caitlin was born and raised in Ottawa and completed a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy
Management (B.PAPM), specializing in Social Policy, at Carleton University in 2014. Caitlin later
graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston with a Master of Science in Occupational
Therapy in 2021. Caitlin is licensed by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and
she holds membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the
Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.
Prior to becoming a licensed occupational therapist, Caitlin worked full-time in the federal
public service and held a variety of volunteer roles in the Ottawa community.
As an occupational therapist, Caitlin’s special interest in the area of child and youth mental
health brought her to Expanding Horizons Occupational Therapy. Caitlin’s experience and
interests also include working with children and youth experiencing a range of intellectual and
developmental diagnoses such as Autism and ADHD, genetic conditions, mental health
concerns, and sensory-related concerns. She also has experience working with adults and youth
in managing post-concussion syndrome.
Caitlin’s lived experience as a sibling of an individual with a congenital disability brings
additional insight, empathy, compassion to her role as a therapist, and as an advocate for her
clients. She is passionate about learning and finding new, fun, and creative ways to
continuously support her clients in achieving their goals.
In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, yoga, doing
crafts or puzzles, and getting outdoors.
